An evidence-based model to address Unconscious Biases

Unconscious biases are widely seen as a key to overcoming DE&I challenges. Yet many organisations report only short-term effects. Our evidence-based approach focuses on those biases that obstruct the effective utilisation of diversity—without overemphasising or ignoring specific types of biases.

Based on over 50 studies spanning seven decades, our model comprises six bias types in three categories: individual, interpersonal and organisational. It captures interactions between them, reveals hidden dynamics, and identifies clear intervention points—making it directly applicable to the workplace, business and leadership contexts.

From insight to practical impact

Biases are deeply rooted in beliefs, habits and organisational cultures. That’s why simple awareness sessions are often insufficient. Our model applies evidence-based strategies—such as de-biasing, nudging and enhanced environments—to real-life work settings.

A fully integrated leadership approach supports targeted bias reduction across seven leadership disciplines—linked to existing processes and tools. This enables personal insight to translate into sustainable changes of routines, norms or at a structural level.

Conscious focus on performance

Our framework equips leaders and organisations to systematically identify and address biases—fostering a high-performance culture where all talent can thrive.
