Reflecting Society - Does the Workforce Reflect the Diversity of Individual Life Concepts?

Every society consists of various groups. But what about a company? This diversity task-force is primarily dedicated to representing women and the disabled within the Microsoft workforce.

Our philosophy is: The potential of Microsoft employees is reflected in the diversity of their thinking, talents, conduct and life concepts - resulting in a corporate powerhouse.

External relationships also help solve integration problems. Microsoft for example cooperates with the Bavarian State Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Family Affairs and Women to gain new impetus in this field.

We have already initiated numerous successful projects for the promotion of women. Human Resources for example supports Microsoft managers in filling vacancies. Is a female applicant just as qualified as a male candidate? Then she should get the job! Counselling in this field is aimed at increasing awareness at management level. Initial success is already visible: since July 1, 2002, the hiring ratio of female candidates increased from 25% to 36% - signing up female employees has become very attractive.
