We all respect and live our values!
That's the objective set by this workgroup. Values like self-criticism and honesty but also loyalty towards others need to be fostered. Microsoft has defined a set of values to enhance its worldwide corporate culture which have to be proliferated and made even more popular. We want our employees to identify themselves with those values and act accordingly.
Microsoft launched the so-called Switch Program to create new impetus in the workforce. In the context of this program, employees work for a social institution such as the railway mission, medicide or for AIDS information centres for one week. These activities and in particular the subsequent joint reflection enormously increase awareness for diversity and promote sensible thinking in the long run. Values and life concepts perceived odd so far are now accepted as equivalent.
An essential component of the project is MEET (Microsoft Engagement, eigenes Tun
). It stands for the independent, yet consistent and long-term social commitment of Microsoft employees to the community. Caring for institution children is just one example of the many options defined in cooperation with the youth welfare office. The project members may take the children to the zoo during working hours or use the company car - Microsoft supports all of these activities.
