Besides attracting outstanding people, Ford promotes its profile with the widest range of potential recruits and expands its reach to Ford customers of tomorrow. This is done through mentoring students, broadening campus recruitment, involving resource groups as well as fostering links with external Diversity groups and initiatives. The Henry-Ford-Scholarship for female engineering students and information schemes for school girls are but two examples.

WorkLife Integration

Ford actively encourages employees to integration their private and professional life. A range of tools helps support this, including part time work or job sharing, telecommuting, parental leave and emergency child care at some locations. The annual WorkLife & Diversity Week provides information and an opportunity to reflect locally, how a demanding job life and a successful healthy personal life can be matched.
