Our background

BP emerged from the wave of merger activities in the late nineties as a strong, performance-oriented company. The leadership team, recognising that the underpinnings of performance lie in strength, depth and quality of our people, made a formal commitment to develop a strategic focus in the area of Diversity & Inclusion. The new BP, with its spread across geographies and businesses, with a myriad of cultures, is using D&I as a key process to unlock human potential across the organisation. When we speak about Diversity & Inclusion we do not speak about a project with a beginning and an end, but about a journey in our way of thinking, behaving and building our future. BP has embarked on that journey.
